Doodles Community Council

The Doodles Community Council serves as the voice and governing body of the Doodles community within the Inkubator. Council members will advocate for community interests, make collective decisions, ensure transparent communication, gather feedback from the community and the Council, and collaborate closely with the Doodles team to align initiatives with organizational goals.

The Doodles Community Council’s roles are open to OG Holders and will receive a monthly fee for a 6-month term, subject to the terms and conditions of their agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for the community's interests and values both internally and externally.
  • Collaboratively make strategic decisions through the voting of proposals.
  • Maintain open communication channels to keep the community and Doodles team informed about activities of the Council.
  • Regularly gather feedback from community members to understand their needs and concerns for role-specific and community-wide purposes.
  • Work closely with the Doodles team to align community initiatives with organizational goals, utilizing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to take action on joint initiatives or fill any needed gaps.

Chair

This is a key leadership role within the Doodles community, requiring proactive engagement with both the Doodles Community Council and the broader community to ensure alignment and progress towards shared objectives. The Chair of the Doodles Community Council will work closely with the Doodles team, acting as a vital bridge between internal operations and community-driven initiatives.

Objectives:

  1. Enhance communication and collaboration between the Doodles Community Council and the Doodles community
  2. Facilitate efficient, timely, and accurate proposal management and reporting
  3. Foster community engagement and trust

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the liaison between the Doodles team, the Doodles Community Council, and the Doodles community to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the Doodles Community Council, setting agendas for necessary discussions and votes. Provide weekly reports to the Doodles team summarizing outcomes and progress.
  • Compile and maintain reports from other members of the Council on ongoing proposals and concerns, presenting weekly updates to the Doodles team and Doodle Watch.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly discussions with the community to share progress of the Doodles Community Council, collaborating with and including other members of the Council.
  • Oversee the timely submission of reports and updates to the proposal tracker, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with the community, the Council, and the Doodles team.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in community or organizational settings.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and hold others accountable.
  • Proficiency in documentation and reporting, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communications.
  • Familiarity with the specific goals and objectives of the Doodles community.

Events Lead

The Events Lead plays a crucial role in fostering community engagement and strengthening connections within the Doodles community by collaborating on organizing diverse and inclusive events. This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach, working closely with community members, subcommunities, and the Doodles team to support impactful events.

Objectives:

  1. Accelerate community engagement through in-person and digital gatherings
  2. Establish event promotion and support strategies
  3. Evaluate event success

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and community leader for event planning, offering guidance and support to community members organizing events.
  • Assist community members in their planning and coordination of proposed events, ensuring they align with the Council's mission.
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to promote awareness of upcoming events, leveraging various communication channels.
  • Establish a transparent reporting schedule for event proposals, keeping the Council and Doodles team informed of progress, concerns, and any necessary adjustments.
  • Conduct post-event assessments, including detailed post-mortems, to analyze the success, expenses, and areas for improvement of each event.
  • Partner with the Doodles team to plan and mobilize the community for official activations through Request for Proposals (RFPs).

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse community members.
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and execution.
  • Marketing or promotional experience, with the ability to create and implement strategies for event promotion.
  • Familiarity with the goals and culture of the Doodles community.

Experiments Lead

The Experiments Lead plays a critical role in supporting experiments within the community, contributing to the sustainability and growth of community-driven initiatives. This position requires a strategic mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with community members and the Doodles team to facilitate successful experiments.

Objectives:

  1. Provide guidance for experiments to enhance their potential for success
  2. Improve financial oversight and reporting
  3. Identify and support experiment expansion opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and community leader for business-oriented proposals.
  • Assist community members in evaluating and refining their experiment proposals, providing guidance to ensure alignment with the Council's mission and objectives.
  • Establish clear benchmarks, goals, and success indicators for experiment proposals, facilitating a structured approach to measuring performance.
  • Liaise with community members to establish reporting schedules for approved experiment proposals, focusing on key milestones, and execution progress.
  • Provide recommendations to the Doodles team on potential next steps and expansion opportunities for successful experiments that present broader business opportunities.
  • Identify areas of commercial interest within the community and the Council, collaborating with the Doodles team to develop Request for Proposals (RFPs) to support these interests.

Qualifications:

  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills, with a background in evaluating experiment proposals and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with community members, proposers, the Council, and the Doodles team.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant management, budgeting, or financial oversight.
  • Familiarity with the goals, values, and culture of the Doodles community.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.
