Update from the Watch 👀
Continuing to strengthen community bonds, we are exploring ways to create more opportunities for holders to interact and hang out with each other. One immediate action I am looking to take is to revive the Gaming Doods, as I believe the overlap between Web3 and the gaming community is continuing to grow. This can be a great touchpoint for holders. I am in the process of planning the next URL event with 8270. This past week was significant in the Watch position as we were able to roll out our first-ever URL activation, The Dooper Bowl! Following that, the first Community Creations thread was launched on Monday to highlight and show appreciation for creators in our community.
Update from the Chair 🪑
Some holders expressed concern for Inkubator funds drying up and the longevity of it. In response to this, 82, other council members, as well as the Watch looked into different returning revenue options for the Inkubator, including staking. 82 attended a meeting again with Austin this past week in order to continue and further the conversation surrounding on-boarding. One discussion the Council and Watch had this week to create approved sub-communities that could receive support directly from the hub, which is the RFP atown is building out.
Update from the Experiments Lead 🧪
Continuing to develop his proposed RFPs as well as meeting with a few individuals who have previously worked with other projects to discuss what their assistance in the hub might look like. Additionally, Atown has reached out to designers and groups who hold Doodles in an effort to get them involved—people who could assist with building out the Community Hub.
Additionally, Atown noted that it is worth exploring Farcaster frames and more ways to participate in the attention economy game. The idea of an incubator hackathon was also discussed. However, there are some potential hazards involved, such as cheating and the possibility of individuals outsourcing work just to win a contest or prize.
Atown is also hoping to have a RFP ready to roll out with the launch of the Inkubator in order to spark the communities involvement.
Relaunching the Inkubator 🚀
The goal of the Council is to have the Inkubator relaunched in the coming days. There are a few more details to be sorted regarding the brand bible but our hope is to relaunch much sooner than that.
Backlogged proposals are also going to be examined to determine which proposals could perhaps use some guidance from the Council and Watch, as well as what proposals should potentially be reworked all together.
Other Business 💼
There will be a Doodles sesh this Friday in the Doodles discord at 5:00pm EST! It should also be noted that Youngsun was attending a community space and was not able to attend this meeting; however, he was looped into the discuss throughout the week.
