Questionnaire
What kind of community event are you organizing? community meetup
What's the name of the event? Geek Meet
What can you tell us about the venue and capacity? Geek Meet is an annual event in Honolulu at Ala Moana Beach Park. It is a huge open air venue. We have one tent space reserved. https://www.hawaiigeek.com/
Could you break down the anticipated number of attendees? Include the projected percentage of attendees who will be Doodles holders. Last year there were thousands of attendees. All of them interested in geek culture. We interacted with hundreds of people who wanted to know about NFTs, blockchain, and crypto. Estimated that less than 1% were holders of Doodles.
What is the event's run of show? Include any planned activities and entertainment. It's a free, open air event where people interested in all aspects of geek culture can mingle outside and enjoy Hawaii. Light Saber Academy, video game music, gamer clubs, cosplay, HAM radio, comic books, collectibles, Magic the Gathering, 3-D printing, and more were all a part last year.
What are you hoping to accomplish through this event? We'd like to bring more awareness to blockchain, blockchain projects, NFTs, NFT communities, and the many use cases of blockchain, crypto, and NFTs in the near future. We would like to eliminate some of the stigma around NFTs and NFT projects and we feel that Doodles offer a great way to accomplish that.
Please detail the budget plan that accounts for all projected expenses to be assumed by the Inkubator, as well as any other participating parties or sponsors. Be sure to include any potential revenue sources. There are no revenue sources. This is purely a public relations play for the greater blockchain/NFT/crypto communities. We would like to use the budget to buy Doodles, Doodles March, and other items to give away. A large part of the budget would be to pay staff for their time and energy in engaging with the public. We want to be able to give free cold water, snacks, and pizza to those who come to our booth.
What is the marketing and promotional plan to generate demand for the event? The event is a recurring event that has a large number of repeat returnees every year. We intend to have an eye catching booth with engaged people and to be able to educate, enchant, and help people fall in love with Doodles.
How will registration / holder check-in be managed? This is a free event. By being there, we will be engaging with all who attend.
