Request for Proposals: Doodles Community Artist Asset Pack Creation

Overview

The Doodles Community Council is seeking talented community artists to contribute to our upcoming Social Asset Builder tool. We're looking for creative individuals to design asset packs that will empower Doodles NFT holders to express their unique style across various social media platforms.

Project Scope

We're inviting submissions for asset packs that include backgrounds, wallpapers, and stickers following a cohesive theme. These assets will be used in conjunction with users' Doodles NFTs to create personalized social media content.

Asset Requirements

Each asset pack should include the following items, all adhering to a unified theme of the creators choice. Expectation is that this should take no more than 8 hours of work.

A single background scene in the following orientations:

  1. Profile Picture Background
    • Dimensions: 1000 x 1000 pixels
    • Quantity: Single design (shared across all 3 orientations)
  2. Phone Wallpaper Background
    • Aspect Ratio: 20:9 (portrait orientation)
    • Dimensions: 2400 x 1080 pixels (adjustable for various phone models)
    • Quantity: Single design (shared across all 3 orientations)
  3. Social Cover Photo Background
    • Twitter Cover Photo: 1500 x 500 pixels
    • LinkedIn Cover Photo: 1584 x 396 pixels
    • YouTube Cover Photo: 2560 x 1440 pixels (with a safe area of 1546 x 423 pixels)
    • Quantity: Single design (shared across all 3 orientations)
  4. Stickers
    • Dimensions: 250 x 250 pixels
    • Format: Transparent background PNG
    • Content: Fun, thematic items in the Doodles style
    • Quantity: At least 2 unique sticker designs

Theme and Style Guidelines

  • All assets should follow a cohesive theme of your choosing
  • Designs should complement the Doodles aesthetic while showcasing your unique artistic style
  • Stickers should be playful and add personality to the compositions
  • Style-wise, we don’t want to put too many restrictions on community artists. In fact, it’s important for people to understand that this is a community initiative, so some deviation from the OG style would only be a good thing.
  • Things to avoid:
    • We should avoid creating stickers matching the design of existing traits, please do NOT modify any Doodles traits or characters in a way that might make them look like someone else’s.
    • No sexual content, violence (although comedic violence, like what is seen in some of the social spots is probably be OK, but will need to be signed off on)
    • No religious symbolism
    • Don’t leverage existing brands/IPs etc.
    • Do not use any Doodles branding, including the logo or key branded characters in backgrounds or stickers.
    • Please steer clear of any references to Doodles lore, such as Dullsville, the Doodleverse and the characters from Dullsville and the Doodleverse. This especially applies to anything that might suggest new lore relating to what we’ve already established.
    • Please run concepts by the product team before pushing ahead in case there are any potential clashes with what Doodles is working on and/or our future brand partners.
  • Other thoughts:
    • We’d encourage artists to consider concepts and themes that represent the diversity of the Doodles community, as well as those inspired by the Doodles lore and art.
    • We’re open to seeing variations on style in these, so if someone wanted to create something in 3D or clay, that would be cool with us.
